Events

Members can post Events. Events can be real, happening at some place or virtual, which means online. They help a member to create awareness about some event and invite other people to it.

You can handle these events through Events menu which has two pages namely, List of Events and Event Categories

List of Events

This page shows the list of events created on the website and details associated with them. Details like:

  • EventsThe name of the event
  • CategoryThe category of the event in which it resides as chosen by the member. You can also add/delete category through the Event Categories submenu
  • StatusIt shows whether the event is activated or not. If the administrator wants to block the event, he/she can simply click the red dot against it and the event will not be shown on the front panel. In this menu, the green dot shows that it is activated and the red dot shows it is not. You can edit the status of any event by clicking on either dot on this page.
  • FeaturedSometimes the theme of your website is capable of showing some events on the home page. This option allows you to control the events that you want to show. The green dot means that you want it to be featured on home page and red dot means that you do not. If there are more events having green dots in this list than the no. of events that can be featured on home page, then the events are picked at random at every other refresh of home page.
  • Event OnThis tells you the dates around which the event is happening
  • ActionIt is the action button to access each event's details. |> This sign, corresponding to any event, shows that the right sub menu can be used to delete this event and view/edit the event from front end. While @ sign shows that corresponding event cannot be accessed till you click on this action button and change it to |> sign
User Management

Right sub menu The right submenu allows you to

  • Edit the Event through front panel
  • View the Event
  • Delete the Event

You can also edit the event in the admin panel itself by clicking on the event in the event list

You can sort the list either in increasing or in decreasing order by clicking on the field's name

It shows the details of first 20 Events in the first page, you can choose to see details of other Events too by choosing the page in the drop down page menu at the bottom

Event Categories

This page shows all the categories in which the events can be classified by the creator. It shows the first 20 categories in the first page, you can choose to see more categories by choosing the page in the drop down page menu in the bottom

Action Action button is to edit properties associated with the category. |> This sign, corresponding to any category, shows that the right sub menu can be used to edit/delete this category and to change the associated properties. While @ sign shows that corresponding category cannot be accessed till you click on this action button and change it to |> sign

You can add new categories with the help of 'New' button at the bottom of this page

Right sub menu The right submenu allows you to

  • Edit the category by changing its name and assigning a proper priority to it
  • Delete the category
