Twitter the popular online social networking and microblogging service has made certain changes in recent weeks.

1. Activity Tab
It includes an “activity” tab that gives updates of what other people who liked your posts or retweeted are doing on the service. It provides a rich new source of discovery by highlighting the latest Favorites, Retweets and Follows from the people you follow on Twitter. It is a kind of NewsFeed of Facebook.

3. Twitter is now fully integrated into Apple’s new iOS 5

Twitter is now fully integrated into Apple’s new iOS 5 mobile operating system, you can share and read Tweets on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Simply enter your Twitter login information into your device settings, and you’ll always remain connected to your Twitter account. This means you can tweet directly from Apple apps like Camera, Maps, Photos, Safari and YouTube, along with third party apps. Also you can upload images directly to Twitter (

4. Share a photo via text message

Share photos on Twitter by including a photo in your text message. Just enter the text of your Tweet as you normally would, attach a photo to the message and send to Twitter. At present the service is restricted to some networks and countries only.

5. Five new languages

Twitter is now available in Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Hindi, Filipino and Malay. That adds another 500 million potential users.

Twitter has experienced rapid growth and with the loads of additional users and activities it is bound to grow more briskly and may even overtake Facebook.
